Cornwall is a coastal county in southwestern England known for its stunning beaches, picturesque fishing villages, and rich cultural heritage. With a mild climate and rugged landscapes, it is a popular destination for outdoor activities such as surfing, hiking, and wildlife spotting. Visitors can explore historic landmarks, sample local seafood and cider, and take in the breathtaking views of the coastline. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, Cornwall is a must-visit destination in the UK.
A few summers back, we embarked on a spontaneous trip to Cornwall, seeking a brief escape from the hustle and bustle of London. With a week off work, we headed south-west, where we found ourselves enjoying the scenic beauty of Cornwall for two delightful days.
We arrived in Newquay late afternoon and took in the breathtaking coastline views. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious meal and drinks at the Plume of Feathers before settling into one of their lovely rooms for the night.
After breakfast the next day we headed off to The Scarlet Hotel.
At The Scarlet hotel in Cornwall, my partner and I indulged in a luxurious day of pampering with their couples package. Our experience included a delectable lunch, a relaxing soak in the hot tub, a rejuvenating rassoul treatment in a steam room, and unlimited lounging by the pool.

After a relaxing stay at The scarlet, we continued our adventure by visiting Bedruthan Steps Beach where we hiked down the steps to take in the breathtaking views.

As this trip was a spontaneous adventure, we left Cornwall with a yearning to return and explore more of its stunning coastline. We’ve even considered taking a surfing lesson on our next visit. With its breathtaking views, charming seaside towns, and exhilarating outdoor activities, Cornwall has something to offer for every kind of traveler.
